TOTH, George Joseph - age 87 of Fenton, passed away on September 20, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at 1 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Bedford Rd., Holly. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Contributions may be made to the St. John Outreach. He was born on February 24, 1936, in Flint, Michigan to George and Anne A. (Kocsis) Toth. George graduated from St. Agnes High School and furthered his education at the General Motors Institute. He was a veteran of the U.S Army. George married Jean A. Hornbacher on May 13, 1961 and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2017. He was a tool designer for General Motors for thirty years retiring in 1992. George will be dearly missed by his son David M. (Sharon) Toth of Brighton, MI; Two daughters Maria Toth (Burton) Eichler of Pigeon, MI and Diane A. (Sean) Lynch of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren: David Toth, Sarah (Matthew) Button, Amanda (Nick) Rogers, Connor Lynch, Yuri Eichler, and Oleksander Eichler. Additionally, he was blessed with three great-grandchildren: Logan Rogers, Amelia Rogers, and Margot Button; sister Ann (Jeff) Vetrano of Maricopa. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Louis Toth and sister Mary Anne Lenart. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430.
