PRAEFKE, Janet Kaye – of Lapeer, MI, age 63, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jan’s Life and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flint River Watershed Coalition (FRWC) or Shelter of Flint, in Jan’s memory.
Jan was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 15, 1958. She married Joel Geda. Jan retired from the Genesee County Prosecutors’ Office. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Jan enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting her cottage.
Jan is survived by her spouse, Joel Geda; son, Bryce (Brittany) Geda; granddaughter, Lillian; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty.
