REED, Christine Susan - Of Flint, age 88, died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 10AM-1PM Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the funeral home.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Christine was born in Petoskey, Michigan on June 25, 1932 to Otto and Christine Baker. She resided in Flint most of her life where she had five children. Mrs. Reed worked for 13 years at Flint Community Schools as an Administrator of a federal program for Indian education before retiring in 1992. Christine enjoyed sewing, bead and leatherworking and practicing her traditional American Indian religion.
She is survived by daughters, Deborah Miller, Lewanda (Ted) Cole, Cheri (Chris) Shaffer and son Anthony (Kelly) Reed, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two husbands, daughter Katrina Tomlin, 3 sisters and one brother.
