THEMM, John H. – of Clio, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, with family by his side. Funeral services will be held 3PM Monday, October 4, 2021, at Fellowship Baptist Church – 14046 N. Saginaw Rd., in Clio. Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 3PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church. To honor John, the family requests that everyone wear their favorite University of Michigan apparel to the service.
John was born June 3, 1958, in Flint, Michigan to the late Harry and Ida (Betz) Themm. He graduated from Clio High School in 1976. John married Sharon Pallmig in 1986, they later separated but remained great friends. He was a loyal employee of ZF Lemforder in Lapeer for over 30 years where he earned perfect attendance many times. John was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he organized many events, ran the sound system, and was trustee. He loved attending the races – especially Crystal Motor Speedway. John was an avid University of Michigan fan and enjoyed supporting local school sporting events, volunteering, and giving back to the community. He also enjoyed camping and would organize family trips every year, listening to music – especially rock & roll, dancing, attending concerts and had an extensive album collecting. John was a thoughtful and wonderful man to know who impacted many lives throughout his life. He had a great personality and could always make someone laugh. Above all, family was the most important to John, he always made them feel special and for every holiday would make gift baskets for everyone, even the pets. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Daughter, Jillian (Cory) Duvernois; Grandchildren: Addison Themm, and Blake Childers; Siblings: Ken (Pat) Themm, Jean Shippley, Beverly Themm, Sam (Charlene) Themm, Leonard (Veronica) Themm, and Bob (Julie) Themm; Former wife, Sharon Titsworth and her son, Jared Titsworth; Sisters in law: Janet Themm, and Sue Themm; Former sisters in law: Rita Callahan, and Yetiva Allen; Special friends: Fred Hetzer, Leo Plamondin, and the Sparks boys; Many cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. John was also preceded in death by: Sisters: Sylvia Cummins, and Carol Carnahan; Brothers: Dan Themm, Harold “Art” Themm, and Rex Themm; Great Nephew, Zachary Cummins; Brothers in law: Dan Carnahan, William Shipley Sr., and Leroy Cummings.
