Tony was born in Cadillac, Michigan on November 22, 1961 to Edward, Sr. and Barbara (Koryciak) Hallwood. He graduated from Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan in 1979. On September 20, 1986, he married the love of his life, Rosalie "Rose" Cronk at Sacred Heart Church in Flint, Michigan. They were blessed with three b-e-a-utiful daughters and one very special grandson, his little man. His family was his world, and his smile lit up every room he was in. Tony proudly served our country in the United States Navy on the USS Edward McDonnell FF-1043, and he truly loved honoring his flag and his country. He was an Operations Manager for Neff Engineering, where he took great pride in working hard each and every day. His coworkers were family to him, and he loved being there joking around with his guys. Tony undoubtedly enjoyed golfing, baseball, basketball, football, bowling, horseshoes, pool, ping pong, cornhole, and really just playing or watching any sports with friends and family. He loved singing and dancing, and always knew how to make anyone laugh. Playing poker, croquet, and board or card games were just some of the many things you could find him doing (or winning). Camping and Cedar Point trips with family and friends were regular occurrences, and he was always up for an adventure by the lake, under the stars, or into the woods. Watching his daughters and grandson compete in sporting events and perform in musicals or at church was one of his greatest joys. Tony was the best husband, super dad, papa, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, teacher, coach, and coworker anyone could’ve ever had. Just to know him was the world’s greatest gift.
Tony is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rose Hallwood; daughters, Lauren (Danny Cronk) Hallwood, Natalie Hallwood, and Anna (Bradley Zuraw) Hallwood; grandchild, Payton "Pay" Badder; mother, Barbara Hallwood; siblings, Christine (Leo) Laurin, Tim (Vicky Gardner) Hallwood, Matt Hallwood, Ed Hallwood, Jr., and Ken (Dawn) Hallwood; brother and sister-in-laws, Donald (Charlene) Cronk, Leonard (Wendy) Cronk, Catherine McElrath, Mary (Jeff) Crim, and Linda (Kevin) Uhelski; and godchildren, Adrienne Crim and Catie McElrath. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Hallwood, Sr., brother, Frank Hallwood, and best friend, Gary Goodrum.
