REID, Dorothy “Dot” Clara (Gludovatz) – of Flint, MI, age 88, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at The Pines of Burton Memory Care. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on a later date.
Dorothy was born in Bach, MI on March 30, 1932, daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Hoch) Gludovatz. She retired from Flint Boxmaker’s Inc., in 1997 after 28 years of service in Sales. She was a member of St Leo the Great Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed family, friends, playing the piano, dancing, golfing, and bowling.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Dawn (Glen) Miller and Darcy (Jan) Reid; grandchildren, Nicolette (Andrew) Wilberding and Jake (Katherine) Miller; great-grandchildren, Nora, Julia, and Maggie Wilberding; brother, Joseph (Marilyn) Gludovatz; brother-in-law, Douglas (Caroline) Reid; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Gludovatz; mother-in-law, Margaret Rickenbacker and best friend, Joyce Prieur.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Pines, and those who provided in home care over the years, for all your kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Tee – Eastern Michigan (Youth Golfing Program) 6045 Davison Road, Burton, MI 48509, in Dorothy’s memory.
