Clarence R. Rice, 76 of Northwood passed away December 25, 2010. He was born June 19, 1934 to John W.E. and Loretta Rice. Clarence later married his loving wife, Nancy Wagner and they had five wonderful children.
Clarence worked at L.O.F. in Rossford in the Carpentry and Tank Department where he retired in 1996. He was very active in the Free Masons, Genoa Lodge #433 where he served as Worshipful Master in 1987 at the Port Lawrence Lodge. Clarence was also active in the Lotus Chapter of the Eastern Stars #477 where he was a 5 time worthy patron.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years and children: LuAnn Liggett, Rossford; Randy Rice of Walbridge; Perry (Peggy) Rice of Findlay; Paula Jakubec of Rossford and 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Clarence also has a brother Ronald (Margie) Rice who also survives. Preceding him in death is son, Jamie R. Rice, grandson Travis Liggett, sisters: Atterah Wells and Gladys Shepard, and brothers: Dennis Rice and John Rice Jr.
Friends are going to be welcomed on Tuesday, December 28 from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Witzler – Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main Street Walbridge, OH where a Masonic Service will be at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 29 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Joel Routh officiating. Burial will be at Lake Township following the service. Family asks that memorial contributions be made to either the Wood County Humane Society or to Lakewood Church of the Brethren. Online condolences can be made at: www.witzlershank.com
