BUCKLES, Elaine Marie - age 95, of Fenton, died December 23, 2019. Visitation will be held 11:30-1:30 PM Thursday, December 26,2019 at Sharp Funeral Home Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a rosary at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Elaine was born November 10, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Dumonthier) Boggs. She married Harry Henry Buckles on January 1, 1944 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2005. Together they owned and operated West Flint Reference Laboratory. Elaine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, loved gardening crossword puzzles and collecting clowns. Surviving are: son, David L. Buckles; two grandchildren, David G. Buckles and wife, Tamara, Elisa M. Wittersheim and husband, Robert Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Chloe Wittersheim, Clarissa, Luke, and Emily Buckles; daughter-in-law, Victoria Ybarra; grandson-in-law, Timothy Wittersheim; brother, Robert (Arlene) Boggs; sister, Marjorie (Butch) Hardy; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: son, Harry George Buckles and two sisters, Deloris Strand and Betty Miljan. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
