ACRE, Arleda J. – of Flint, age 82, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at McLaren Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Monday, March 23, 2015 at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 6100 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Saturday and 11 AM – 2 PM & 4-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at the church. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Sunday under the auspices of the Nourmahal Chapter # 282 Order of the Eastern Star. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Arleda was born in Flint, MI on March 7, 1933, daughter of the late George and Rhea (Colvin) Stoutenburg. She married Bruce A. Acre of Otter Lake on February 11, 1961. Arleda was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. Arleda enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, flowers, camping with their Good Sam Camping Club (Bobbin Robins) and her TOPS Club Ladies.
Arleda is survived by her husband, Bruce; children, Marie Acre of Flint, Steven (Johnna) Acre of Flint and Mark (Colleen) Acre of Grand Blanc; granddaughters, Cynthia Acre, Ashley Acre, Lesley Acre and Nicole Acre; great-grandchildren, Aurelia and Harvey; brother, Robert (Michile) Stoutenburg, sister-in-law, Marilyn Stoutenburg; stepbrother, Raymond “Wayne” (JoAnn) White, stepsister-in-law, Cheryl White; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Janice (Russel) Long, Althea Ondovcsik, William Stoutenburg and Darwin Stoutenburg; stepbrother, Ronald White; stepmother, Sue Stoutenburg and grandson, Christopher A. Acre.
