Annamaria was born on October 3, 1928, in Livorno, Italy.  She was the only child of Doctor and Mrs. Luigi Giunti. After graduating from the University of Pisa, Annamaria lived in Italy until she met and married her beloved husband, Joseph Mondelli. Annamaria and Joe married in San Gimignano, Italy, on January 23, 1955, and proceeded to move to Flint, MI. Together they raised three children, Michael, David, and Amy and enjoyed 55 years of marriage before Joe’s death in February of 2010. All their cherished, married life they resided in Michigan except for the last 17 years in which they lived in Boca Raton, FL. Annamaria spoke lovingly of their time in Florida and often referred to it as their “second honeymoon.”

Annamaria’s passions were her family, friends, and love for her native home of Italy. She also spent many hours volunteering at hospitals both in Michigan and Florida. Annamaria was the Auxilliary President of Volunteers for Flint’s McLaren Hospital from 1985-1987. Annamaria enjoyed cooking fabulous meals for family and friends, reading, traveling, decorating for holidays, and most of all visiting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was truly the matriarch of our family and will be dearly missed. We love you Mom-Nonna!

Annamaria is preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph; survived by their children, Michael (Isy) Mondelli of Fenton, Mi; David (Janis) Mondelli of Wauseon, OH; Amy (Jim) Morrissey of Lincolnshire, IL; 10 grandchildren; Mikala (Nick) Barry; Joseph (Kelsie) Mondelli; Chelsea Mondelli; Jonathan Mondelli; Jennifer (Brian) Daniels; Nicholas Mondelli (Eleesha Lockett); Michael (Megan) Morrissey; Caitlin (Matthew) Hudspeath; Anna (Charles) Hoover; Matthew Morrissey; and seven great grandchildren; Matthew and Ella Barry; James and Avery Morrissey; Aubrey Hudspeath; Anthony Hoover; Michael Mondelli.
