Gillett, Brian M. – of St. Cloud, MN, formerly Clio, MI, age 62, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. Honoring his wishes cremation will take place. A graveside service at Great Lakes National Cemetery with full military honors will take place at a later date.
Brian was born May 13, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, to Richard and Norma (Judd) Gillett. Enlisting in the United States Navy on January 13, 1981, Brian proudly served his country with honor and distinction until his honorable discharge on March 12, 1985. During his time in the Navy, Brian reached the rank of SKSN, demonstrating his commitment and bravery. Following his military service, Brian chose a career at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. For over a decade, his kindness, empathy, and dedication to providing care to veterans touched the lives of many. Brian had a passion for woodworking. With meticulous attention to detail, he would spend countless hours creating masterpieces with his hands. His skills and creativity were evident in every project he completed, and he took great pride in the beauty that emerged from his craftsmanship.
Surviving are: Special Friend, Debbie Graham; Mother, Norma Gillett; Brothers: Rick Gillett, and Randy (Roxanne) Gillett; Uncle, Herbert (Marsha) Judd; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Gillett; Grandparents: Gifford (Mary) Judd, and Helen M. Gillett. |
