Maraldo, Giuseppe of Flushing, age 94, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. Paul Schwermer will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 1-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Mr. Maraldo was born in Cavasso Nuovo, Porde None, Italy on December 19, 1919.
Surviving are: his companion, Julia Delecki; daughter, Andrea and husband Frank Maxey; two grandchildren, Joseph Derra, Diana "Dee" and husband Joseph Scott; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Mason, Hudson, Julia and Joseph; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters.
