WILKINSON, DAVID M. – Of Mt. Morris Township, age 76, died Monday, February 19, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at North Flushing Baptist Church, 7500 Mt. Morris Road, Flushing,
Pastor Joshua Corbin officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Flushing Baptist Church or Carriagetown Ministries.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
David was born in Flint, Michigan on March 5, 1947, the son of the late Donald and Ethel (Root) Wilkinson.
He graduated from Southwestern High School Class of 1965 and received his Associates at Mott Community College.
David married Alice Boyd on May 25, 1968 in Mt. Morris.
He was a member of North Flushing Baptist Church.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, working at the church and spending time with his family.
David retired from General Motors in Grand Blanc and was a member of UAW Local #1292.
Surviving are his wife, Alice;
2 sons, Donald (Nicole) Wilkinson of Erie, MI and Douglas (Renee) Wilkinson of Montrose;
7 grandchildren, Zachary, Sydney, Riley, Benjamin, Genevieve, Jonathan and Augustus;
brother, Kenneth (Frances) Wilkinson;
sister, Diana Wilkinson;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; brother, Robert (Carol) Wilkinson and sister, Carol Wilkinson.
