WYATT, Gerald Wayne a.k.a.“Jerry”/“Joe” – Of Flint, age 82, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving and adoring family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Rd.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at Swartz.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on October 14, 1939, the son of the late Thomas and Velma Wyatt.
On May 4, 1985 he married the love of his life Joan Robinson.
Jerry and Joan loved going to the casino and visiting family.
He was a former member of Court Street Methodist Church, the Lion’s Club, Rotary Club and Porsche Club of America. He was a volunteer at Flint Institute of Art.
Mr. Wyatt was employed by Taystee Bread & Oven Fresh Bakery and retired from Clark’s Store Fixtures. He and Polly Wyatt founded the Council on Adoptable Children.
Surviving are loving wife of 37 years, Joan;
sons, Wayde (Carrie), Christopher (Kerry);
daughter, Amy (Jon) Carroll;
grandchildren, Caylinn (Cory), Andrew (Ashley), Ashley, Joseph (Shelby), America (Mark), Isaac (Allie), Emily (Jeff), Abigail (Marisol);
great-grandchildren, Hayes, Hattie, Hendrick, Olivia, Kylie and Anya;
sister, Bettie Stockinger;
many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his cherished grandson, Jaedon Chase LaCross; parents; 7 siblings and mother of his children, Polly Appleby.
