BOYER, Veronica W. (Strayer) – of Flint, MI age 89, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. The family will receive visitors from 12-1 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Michigan Chapter, 25200 Telegraph Road, Ste. 100, Southfield, MI 48033.
Veronica was born in Manistee, MI on August 25, 1932, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Swihart) Strayer. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed bowling, playing softball and field hockey. Veronica also loved fishing, deer hunting and being in the great outdoors.
Veronica is survived by her 2 children, Terry Schaft and Doug (Nancy) Boyer; 7 grandchildren, Katelyn Boyer, Michael (Kasey) Boyer, Tyler Walker, Hannah Walker, Sean Walker, Kobe Auls and Austin Auls; great-grandson, Maverick Byrne; cousin, Vicky Burton; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertrude Strayer and her granddaughter, Jamie Auls.
