Plumb, Ellen of Naubinway, age 93, died Monday, June 7, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be 12 noon Friday, June 11, 2021, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell will officaite. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home until the time of the service at noon. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Ellen was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 21, 1928, the daughter of Benjamin and Racheal (Brown) Washburn. She married Donald Plumb on October 15, 1949, in Owosso. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2004. Ellen was a member of Women of the World. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards and sharing her Christmas baking with her family. Together with her husband, they owned and operated the Suburban Shop in Flushing for several years. They also loved traveling together and being on bowling leagues. Ellen was a sweet, loving, lady that always had a smile to share.
She is survived by her children, Bob and wife Trudy Plumb, Lynn and husband Pat Bryant, Tom and wife Debbie Plumb, Cheryl and husband Jim Carlson; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law. Ellen was also preceded in death by her granddaughters, Tina and Christine Plumb; parents, and six siblings. |
