BURT, David L. – Of Flint, age 76, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
David was born in Flint, Michigan on December 26, 1946, the son of the late Harold and Helen (Gan) Burt. He married Sharon Lamson on August 20, 1994. David retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He enjoyed electronics, woodworking and going camping.
Surviving are wife, Sharon Burt;
children, Brian Burt, Jeffrey (Karen) Burt, Cynthia (Steve) Hanes, Adrienne Walker (Tim), Jake (Julie) Vohwinkle and Matt Vohwinkle;
grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Jeffrey Jr., Zachary, Aaron, Jason, Breanna, Madison, Ava, Brennan and Gracie;
5 great-grandchildren;
sister, Sheryl Dekruger;
brother, Greg (Marla) Burt;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Burt.
