CASCADDAN, Albert Fred – of Lapeer, MI, age 74, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 after a heroic battle against cancer. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Al was born in Pontiac, MI on December 12, 1946, son of the late Fred and Erma. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 stationed in Vietnam. Al married his loving wife, Karen on February 14, 1985. He retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service. Al loved deer hunting, proudly telling people he had only missed 2 seasons since he started hunting. He was known to talk to anyone about his passions of antique tractors, honeybee keeping and any “old cars” especially his Collector’s Edition 1985 Buick LeSabre.
Al is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen; 2 “kids”, Deana and Christopher (JoAnn); 2 “four legged kids”, Lily and Stormy; 4 grandkids, Leigh, Andrew, Brendan and Roisin; 2 sisters, Penny and Joan (Darwin); 3 sisters-in-law, Diane (Chuck), Jean and Mary; special “car brother”, Bill; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Erma; parents-in-law, Leroy and Opal; brother, Robert and sister, Nancy.
