HERRIN, Glenn Dale – of Clio, age 76, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with family by his side. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. No services will be held at this time.
Glenn was born May 3, 1948, in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Willie & Versa (Garner) Herrin. He attended Ainsworth schools throughout his adolescence. Glenn worked at General Motors – Flint Truck and Bus for 35 years before retiring in October of 2001, and was a proud member of UAW Local #598. Throughout the years, Glenn loved spending time on the softball field, playing in numerous seasons of men’s leagues, and was a dedicated member of countless golf leagues.
Surviving are: Children: Tracy Shomali of Grand Blanc, Todd (Tiffany) Herrin of Clio, and Tera Knoll of Clio; Grandsons: Todd Jr., Evan, & Tyler; Brother, Jerry Herrin of Florida. Glenn also leaves behind his beloved Calico cat, Suzy Q, whose companionship brought him comfort during his final years. Glenn was also preceded in death by: Grandson, Jason Robart; Granddaughter, Addyson Knoll; Nephew, Michael Herrin. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cranberry Park Assisted Living and Heart-to-Heart Hospice for all their love and compassionate care.
