BLAYLOCK, Susanne Jane (Brasher) - of Davison, MI, age 79, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Darrell O. Morgan officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Avondale Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Humane Society of Genesee County, in Susie’s memory.
Susie was born April 23, 1942 in Argentine Township, MI, daughter of the late Lloyd and Edith (O’Toole) Brasher. She married Thomas Lee Blaylock on April 8, 1972 in Davison, MI and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2002. Susie retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. She was a member of Ainsworth Baptist Church. Susie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, going out to dinner, watching movies and cooking holiday meals. She also loved sewing and was a skilled gardener.
Susie is survived by 3 children, Dawn (Steve) Baker, Jeffrey (Theresa) Smith and Will (Andrea) McDunnah; 7 grandchildren, Maranda (Travis) Schulert, Thomas (Autumn) Smith, Tiffanie (George) Kler, Traci (Andrew) Brown, Troy (Maria) Stieve, Liam McDunnah and Tanner McDunnah; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Brasher; life-long friends, Gerri Morgan, Betty Carpenter, Marie Henderson and Sharon Lewis; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Edith Brasher; her husband, Thomas Lee Blaylock; her children’s father, Richard Smith; son, Rodney Wayne Smith and sister, Norma Thompson.
