COLE, Margie Lou – of Montrose, age 78, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation or the Montrose Senior Center.
Margie was born March 20, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to the late Jacob and Vivian (Confer) Cole. She grew up in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1961. Prior to her retirement, Margie worked for GM as a line worker at Buick City with 29 years of service. She was very proud of being a part of the team that built the Buick Regal at GM. Margie was a member of the Red Hat Society and was very active in the Montrose Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Son, Jay (Shawn) McGrandy; Grandchildren, Kate Jackson, Alexis McGrandy, Morgan (Matt) Sylvester, Blair (Olivia Webber) McGrandy, Jacob (Phoenix) McGrandy, Griffin (Abby Hedger) Powell; Great Grandchildren, Mattison Sylvester, Kyler McGrandy, Lewis McGrandy, Oakley McGrandy, Ryker Dejmal, Ryder McGrandy, Margo Powell; Sister, Doris Crocker; many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Jacob and Vivian Cole; Husband, Gerald McGrandy; Son, Blair McGrandy Sr.; Brother, J.D. Cole.
