David Wesley White, age 69, of North Branch, formerly of Lapeer and Davison, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was born October 3, 1949 in Lapeer, to parents Duane “D.J.” and Betty (Scott) White.
David graduated in 1967 from Lapeer High School and married Donna Reamer on February 22, 1975, at the Elba Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors Buick City Plant in Flint, where he worked in the Paint Shop. After retiring from General Motors, Mr. White worked as the custodian at the Mayfield Township Hall. David was an avid bowler, he had many dear friends at Richfield Bowl in Flint and Galaxy Lanes in Grand Blanc, where he played in many many leagues. Mr. White also enjoyed golfing, visiting courses all over the state and playing in many leagues at Washakie Golf in North Branch. David often went fishing with his brothers and cruise ship trips with his dear family, he loved time with family.
Mr. White is survived by his wife: Donna White of North Branch; Mother: Betty White of Lapeer; sons: David (Sue) White, Jr. of Davison and Derek (Sarah) White of Davison; grandchildren: Grace White and Dustin White; brothers: Doug White of Lapeer, Don White of Lapeer, Darin (Megan) White of Burton and Darryl (Heather) White of Owendale, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: D.J. White.
Visitation will be 1-8PM Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. David’s funeral service will be 11AM Monday, January 14, 2019, at the funeral home. Deacon Joseph Shierlinger will officiate the service, with burial to follow in Stiles Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
