FINCH, Wava Carlene “Jean” – of Burton, age 83, passed away February 24, 2012 at Maple Place Assisted Living. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Janine Plum. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday; 12-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastwood United Methodist Church.
Wava was born in Reading, MI on August 5, 1928, daughter of the late Carl and Madge (Wager) Bowerman. Wava Bowerman married Raymond J. Finch on August 15, 1946. Raymond preceded her in death on June 1, 1982. Wava received her High School Diploma from Bendle/Carman Ainsworth High School in 1985. She was a member of Faith Missionary Church and VFW Post #2777 Ladies Auxiliary. Wava was employed by Vanda Beauty Counselors for many years.
Wava is survived by her children, Patty (Richard) Mrozek, Jerry (Joy) Finch, Diane (Ed) Fuller, Ronnie Finch and David (Kathleen) Finch; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kristopher Finch and sister, Florence Corser.
