CRONK, Ellery A. - Of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday May 19, 2014
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Dale Pattee officiating.
Burial in Flushing Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Beulah Land Christian Center or Living Word Family Worship Center.
Visitation 4-8pm Saturday, 1-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral.
Ellery was born in Lennon, MI on June 22, 1926, the son of the late Wilson and Mildred (Brown) Cronk. He married Ruth Link on January 14, 1949 and she passed away on January 10, 1994. He then married Patricia Byers on December 16, 1995. Ellery served his country in the United States Army in World War II. He worked for General Motors for over 25 years in the Engineering Department. Ellery attended Beulah Land Christian Center and Living Word Family Worship Center, where he was involved with both churches.
Surviving are wife, Patricia;
children, Ruth Ann (Rich) Campbell, James (Daphne) England, Marcella Smith, Jesse (LaRonda) England and Jerry (Joyce) England;
12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren;
brother, Wilson (Hazel) Cronk and sister, Verna (Robert) Hayes;
many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Myrtle Cronk, Maxine Sturgeon and brother, Gerald Cronk.
