Phyllis Stanbury, age 94, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Phyllis was born August 16, 1928 in Gillespie, Illinois to the late Clarence and Marie Stuthers.
Throughout her life, Phyllis held a fond love for animals, especially golden retrievers. In her free time, she loved to read mysteries and spend quality time with her family. Phyllis was also a first grade teacher in the Grand Blanc School District for many years. She held strong friendships and was adored by many. Phyllis will be truly missed by those she loved and cherished.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Lynn (John) Newmyer and Gail (Mike) Gooch; grandchildren: Lauren (Ken) Scott, John Jr. (Amy) Newmyer, Cindy (Clark) Bay, and Jennifer (Andrew) Mangin; great grandchildren: Bella, Kenny, Ari, Parker, Lindsay, Lauren, Anna and Emma; sister-in-law, Norma Stanbury; niece, Vickie Stanbury; nephews: Ed (Kim) Stanbury and Tom Stanbury; great nephew, Spencer Stanbury; and great niece, Courtney Stanbury.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stanbury; brother-in-law, Don Stanbury; and second husband, Sherwin Tom Cookingham.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 10am at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. |
