DOYLE, GARY J. – Of Grand Blanc, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Mission Point of Holly after a three year battle with ALS(Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of service.
Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on December 25, 1961, the son of the late William and Ruthann Doyle. He was a life-long sports fanatic that loved to watch, play, coach, and volunteer. He was a huge supporter of the Grand Blanc Little league, Holy Family, and Powers HS while his sons were growing up and beyond. Gary was a true “jack-of-all” trades and excelled at many things. He was a construction business owner/operator for 30 years as well as creating and managing a large non-profit organization for the past 20 years. Gary and his late wife Karen were extremely generous and caring toward family, friends, and strangers alike, and always willing to lend a hand or anything that was needed.
Gary is survived by sons, Adam (Alissa) Doyle and Andrew Doyle; beloved granddaughters Adelyn and Emery; brothers Billy, Marvin and Rod; niece Crystal Martin and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Doyle and parents William and Ruthann Doyle.
