She served Holy Rosary Catholic Church, as the Religious Education Coordinator and as a member of its school board. Throughout her life, Jane was involved in many avenues of public service, including both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and as a member of the Burton Women's Fire Auxiliary.

In her spare time, Jane enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting and reading Danielle Steele novels. She also liked to play bingo and go to the casino. She was well-known for her excellent cooking, especially her cabbage rolls and apple pie. Jane was a loving wife, mother and Nana who was incredibly proud of her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege to know her.

Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory: her beloved husband of 59 years, Warren; her loving children, Michelle (Thomas) Welch-Kohn and Steven (Katie) Nimcheski; her precious grandchildren, Alexander and Alaina Welch and Brooklyn Nimcheski; and her dear sister, Joann (Ron) Duncan.
