James “Jim” Walter Chaffer, age 75, of Columbiaville died February 18, 2022
Jim was born December 19, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Walter and Vivienne. He married Sandra Seaman on May 2, 1969. Jim retired from SEARS in 1996 after starting at the store downtown Flint, being instrumental at the opening at Genesee Valley, and many other locations. He was a past Trustee for Marathon Township, and board member for the Southern Links Trailway. Jim was thee greatest Tiger Fan, he collected baseball cards, enjoyed trail riding, and the many flea markets he sold at.
Jim is survived by his son Terry (Amanda) Chaffer, brother (Terry (Gina) Chaffer, sister in-laws Cheryl (Mike) Clark, Diane Seaman, grandsons: Timothy, Brendan, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, in-laws Keith & Jean, and sister in-law Valerie.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Jansen Family Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit Tuesday 4:00 to 9:00 PM. Interment Meadow Lawn Cemetery.
