Wilma G. Jeter, age 89 of Lennon, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Pastor John Walworth will officiate with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm.
Wilma was born on October 1, 1928 in Elizabethton, TN to the late Floyd and Emma (Holland) Nave.
On August 18, 1945, Wilma married Herman J. Jeter in Welch, WV and together raised 4 children.
Herman passed on January 16, 2012.
Wilma was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Gaines.
She enjoyed weekend trips up north and loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Jeter is survived by her 4 children: Charles (Cindy) Jeter, Larry (Linda) Jeter, Roger (Joanne) Jeter, Gloria (Mark) Cooney; grandchildren: Heidi, Brenda, Shannon, Erick, Rachel, Joseph, Stephine; great grandchildren: Calvin, Cameron, Kaili, Grant, Abby; 2 sisters: Delores Bowles, Connie Kelly and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman and brothers: C.J. and Bill.
Memorial contributions given in Wilma's name are suggested to the Shiawassee Council on Aging or the National Kidney Foundations.
