VAN FLEET, Grace M. – of Clio, age 93, died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at McLaren Hospital in Flint. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 12PM until 7PM. Funeral services will be held at 4PM on Thursday.
Grace was born on April 19, 1921 in Throop, Pennsylvania to the late John and Julia (Tokoics) Chizick. She married Robert Van Fleet on February 15, 1947 in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1998. Grace worked for the Mt. Morris School District for 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and was a member of the altar society and quilting club. She enjoyed embroidery and baking.
Surviving are: children, Robert (Dale) Van Fleet Jr. of Waterford, Charlotte (Paul) Jackson of Millington; Richard (Lynn) Van Fleet of Schoolcraft, Larry (Rita) Van Fleet of Clio; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
