KING, Harry Richard, “Rick” age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022 Allen Funeral Home 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Robert Taylor officiating. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors 11 AM Saturday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes National Cemetery Fund.
Rick was born in Flint, MI on August 29, 1948, son of late Harry W. and Letta A. (Stiehl) King. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971. Rick was a mechanic at Tom Gleason Ford and then retired from General Motors in 2016. Rick was a member of the Mayville Eagles Club, Clio Eagle Riders and the American Legion. He loved golfing, woodworking and camping. Rick spent most of his retired days riding his Harley with Alice and loved spending time with his family.
Rick is survived by his son, Sean (Michelle) King, daughter, Barbara King; grandchildren, Sabrina King, Starlett King and Michael Spencer; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Evelyn Eckert; nieces, Shannon (Todd) Thompson and Dana King; great-nieces and great-nephews, Scott and Kaylie Thompson, Reagan and Eli Young; significant other, Alice Richardson and her family Dennis (Debbie) Richardson and son Nathan; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald A. King.
