ALLISON, Donald Eugene - age 80, of Gaines, died March 30, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, April 8, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9450 Duffield Rd., Gaines, MI 48436. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Monday at the church. Donald was born February 5, 1944 in Ironton, OH, the son of Donald and Catherine (Loyer) Allison. He married Mary Dolehanty on July 19, 1969. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from General Motors as a SPC Engineer. After retirement he started his own business DGA Consulting. Donald enjoyed woodworking, reading and music. Surviving are: wife, Mary Allison of Gaines; son, Robert (Jennifer) Allison of Gaines; grandchildren, Isabella, Connor, Samuel, and Bennett; brother, John Allison of Harrison, MI; sister, Betty Wright of Harrison, OH; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Donald and Catherine Allison; and two brothers, George and James Allison. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
