Sandra Lou “Sandy” Versteeg of Davison, age 82, died Tuesday December 19, 2023 at her residence. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Friday January 12, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant: private inurnment in St John Mausoleum. Family will receive visitors at the church form 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Sandy’s memory to St. John Church Memorial Fund.
Sandy was born in Flint Michigan on April 27, 1941 the daughter of the late: Henry and Nola (McLesky) Watson and had resided in the Davison-Flint area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Dutch Versteeg on July 8, 1993. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison, and was an active volunteer at numerous parish events; she also started and operated the parish gift shop. Sandy worked many years for the Suburban News and later owned and operated Jean Carol Fashions. Sandy and her husband Dutch also hosted numerous bus trips in and out of Michigan.
She leaves her husband Dutch, daughter Kimberly (Jim) Ferkany, son Curtis (Karen) Williams, and stepchildren; Henri Versteeg, and Monique (Harry) Vonk. She also leaves her loving nine grandchildren and a host of friends. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
