PIERCE, George David – of Swartz Creek, MI, age 83, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment, with Military Honors, in Great Lakes National Cemetery on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in George’s memory.
George was born in Davison, MI on April 18, 1938, son of the late Leslie and Clara (Bloss) Pierce. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956-1965. George retired from General Motors in 1994 after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and walking.
George is survived by 2 children, Eric (Candi) Pierce and Vincent (Susan) Pierce; step-daughter, Teresa Chandler; 4 grandchildren, Hailey Pierce, Eric Pierce Jr., Brooklyn Pierce and Garret Pierce; great-granddaughter, Veronica Tomasik; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Clara Pierce and his former wife, Kathy Pierce.
