GOSTYLA, Jane Catherine - age 94, of Fenton, died March 31, 2022. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday at the church. Jane was born April 25, 1927 in New Castle, PA, the daughter of Antoni and Aniela (Owoc) Potoczny and was a 1945 graduate of New Castle High School. Jane married Harry Gostyla on August 27, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1992. She worked as a secretary for Buick Plant 36 until starting her family. She was a long time member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Flint and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. Surviving are: daughter, Barbara (Ted) Kaloydis; grandchildren, Antoni Kaloydis and Anastasia (Sean) Hughes; great-grandson, Hanson Hughes; many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members in New Castle, PA. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Antoni and Aniela Potoczny, husband, Harry; sister Lottie Data, and brother, Stanley Potoczny. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
