CARTER, Rita Sue (Milburn) – of Troy, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, age 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Brookdale Assisted Living – Memory Care in Grand Blanc. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Rita’s memory.
Rita was born in Paragould, Arkansas on July 5, 1935, daughter of the late Robert Milburn and “Maude” Esther (Guiltner) Clymer. She married James F. Carter on August 18, 1956 in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2020.
Rita is survived by her children, Nancy (Dane) Yeager and Michael (Karen) Carter; granddaughter, Haley Yeager; siblings, Cary Milburn and David (Brenda) Milburn; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty (Bill) Maguffee.
