SHEPHERD, Candace – of Davison, age 76, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at The Oaks at Woodfield. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 2 PM Monday, November 20, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 12 Noon Monday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Candace was born in West Branch, MI on July 13, 1947, daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Olar) Thornton. She was a wonderful mom who loved her kids and grandkids. Candace loved cooking for all of them. She enjoyed lighthouses and spending time at the beach in Tawas.
Candace is survived by her sons, Troy (Kim) Shepherd and Brent Shepherd; grandchildren, Troy II (Paviana) Shepherd, Trianna Shepherd and Trent Shepherd; great granddaughter, Eliana Shepherd and one great grandson on the way and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings, Kenny Thornton and Beverly Hogaboam.
