YOUNG, Jason – of Mt. Morris, age 48, died Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota. Memorial service will be held 2PM Friday, February 24, 2023, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 2PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of service. In honor of Jason, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.
Jason was born September 20, 1974, to Thomas and Debbie Young. He attended E.A. Johnson High School where he received his high school diploma. A week after graduation, he left to serve his country in the U.S. Army. After serving, he returned home and started his career in Plumbing/Pipefiting. He worked for John E. Green Mechanical Contractor and was a member of Local 98. On December 30, 2012, Jason married his best friend and high school sweetheart, Leeann Coleman. In 2020, Jason and his family relocated to Dickinson, North Dakota, where he worked at Marathon – Mandan/Dickinson Refinery. Jason enjoyed traveling with his family to their second home in Utah and going on annual trips with close friends, Heather and Matt. He liked to visit the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota to watch the wild horses and buffalo – he especially loved to feed the prairie dogs. Jason was known to always have a smile on his face and never failed to make others laugh with his contagious personality. He remained positive, even through the hardest of times, and lived life to the fullest – making memories that will live on forever. Jason was a wonderful person who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jason is forever loved by his loving wife, Leeann Young; Daughter, McKenna (Gage) Macro; Nephew, Cody (Carrie) Young; Son, Ian Sportz; Mother, Debbie Young; Sister, Dawn (TC) Clontz; many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. Special friends: Heather (Matt) Decker, Tom (Brenda) Angliss. Weightlifting brother, Scott (Sam) Seibert. Loving companions: Daphne and Diesel. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Young; Grandma and Grandpa Norton; and Several uncles. |
