SELLERS, Larry W. “Gunner” – Of Flint, age 65, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Larry was born in Flint, Michigan on December 19, 1948, the son of Harry and Viola Sellers. He married his childhood sweetheart, Sandra Perry, on June 10, 1967.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Sellers retired from GM as a Groundskeeper, retired as a Life Guard at the YMCA. Larry taught Special Needs Children how to swim at the YMCA.
Surviving are wife, Sandra;
two daughters, Tina Marie and husband Robert Shaver, Tammy Marie and (Kevin Brandon);
eight grandchildren, Rebecka-Sue (Dennis), Zeb (Cindy), Bradley, Jakobe (Kristin), Ela (Roger) Snow, Gunnar and Jayce;
great-grandchildren, Alivia, Annabelle, Ellie, Ava, Sophia and soon to be great-grandson, Cash;
special friends, The Senior Group at the YMCA and the Warbler Cove Friends, Drew Foster.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Awad and his parents.
