Marilyn Arlene Pingel Hatfield Powell, age 75 of Lennon (formerly of Lapeer), passed away on August 21, 2021, in the comforts of home and with family by her side. Marilyn was born in Flint, Mi on July 13, 1946. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and tending to her garden. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family, especially at the annual family reunions.
Marilyn is survived by her husband & great friend of 35 years, Jimmy Powell; children MaryLynn (David) Hughes, Arthur Hatfield Jr., Kevin Powell, and Kathy (Jeff) Johnson; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her twin-sister Marion (Oliver) VanKuren; great friend Kathy Stinson of Lennon.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents George and Wanda Pingel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27th 2021 at 1 PM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Chaplain Rodney Sanderson-Smith will be officiating. Friends may visit on Thursday, August 26th 2021 from 4-8 PM. Memorial donations to Ascension Genesys Foundation, 5445 Ali Dr. Grand Blanc, MI 48439 are appreciated. |
