SOUDERS, Catherine Imajean "Jean" - Of Flint, age 83, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Rev. Harold K. Polk officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 5-8pm Monday, 1-8pm Tuesday and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Catherine was born in Flint on November 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Taylor James "Pete" and Helen Cason and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life. Mrs. Souders was employed by Hurley Medical Center for 26 years, retiring in 1992.
Surviving are children, Gerald L., Lorrie DeMott Olsen (Mark);
grandchildren, Tonya Reyes-Dickerson, Chris DeMott, Dana Olsen and Katie and Scott Souders;
sister, Barbara Duty;
brother, James Cason;
sister-in-law Loretta Cason;
many nieces and nephews;
and special friend, Nina Escovino;
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on June 20, 1999, infant son, William Joseph Souders, sister, Maxine Rowe, brother, John “Bud” Cason and half-brother, William Dean Ellesworth.
