HENKE, Patricia Anne- age 84, of Swartz Creek, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Messiah Lutheran Church of Swartz Creek, 8497 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, Pastor Bart Muller officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday, May 24 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Messiah Lutheran Church or a charity of one's choice.
Patricia was born June 14, Flag Day, 1936, in Detroit, the daughter of Cyril George Johnson and Constance Sarah (McKean) Johnson. Patricia married Fritz Henke on New Year's Eve of 1955. She and Fritz owned and operated Furs by Fritz in Swartz Creek for many years. Patricia was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she served on the church council and taught Catechism. She was a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H leader and volunteered for Leader Dogs for the Blind. She was a member of the Kiwanis Auxiliary. She worked the Election for Clayton Township for many years. Patricia was a supporter of many charitable organizations. They had hosted exchange students at their home through the years. For over 30 years she always had teenagers at her house. Surviving are: husband of 65 years, Fritz; three children, Gale (Ronald) Tribble of Lennon, Michael (Krissi) Henke of Traverse City, Heide Loney of Flint; seven grandchildren, Tracey, Emily, Brent, Kristen, Elizabeth, Alexander, and James; great-grandchildren , Donavon, Elizabeth, Ryan, Natalie, and Harper; sister Miki (Craig) Wolff.
