John Edward Forbush, 63, of Rodney, passed peacefully away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at his home in Rodney, surrounded by his loving family. He knew he was loved and respected by his family & friends and appreciated the time they spent with him.
John was born on October 3, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. He was the son of William and Jacqueline (Meyer) Forbush. John graduated from Davison High School in 1977 and spent many years working as an “over the road - long haul” truck driver where he worked for various trucking companies. When he moved up north, he held a few short term jobs, yet worked for Wolverine World Wide retiring after 13 years.
John enjoyed: collecting movies, riding motorcycles, working on computers, playing video games with family and friends, and his favorite hobby, working on and maintaining vehicles. As kids, he and his brother, built model cars and had “a blast” blowing them up.
John spent a lot of time on his phone, messing with his kids that pulled all- nighters, mostly Jason. Due to his experience in trucking, he was particularly good at road rage.
John’s personality, sense of humor, generosity, willingness to help and love will be celebrated by those who survive him. They are: his Fiancé of 8 years; Sue Hosteter children, John Jr. (Heather) Forbush, Jason (Nicole) Forbush, grandchildren: Leah, Wyatt, Levi, Brooklyn, Haley, and Evelyn, who will remember the quarters or dollars that he gave them every time they visited; brother: William “Butch” (Kristie) Forbush.
John is now reunited with his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at The Bridge Church, G-3326 Corunna Road, Flint Michigan 48532. Please help us remember the good times by leaving your favorite memory, lighting a candle or simply signing the guestbook.
