Carolyn Dillon, 82, of Corunna, passed away on May 13, 2025. Born the daughter of Dolly Dexter and Minnie Ruth Carter on January 31, 1943, she grew up in Detroit and Hazel Park Michigan, where she graduated from Hazel Park High School. She trained as a licensed practical nurse at Henry Ford Hospital.
After a short career as a nurse, Carolyn became a farmer’s wife, Trucking Company CEO, and landlord after falling in love and marrying her husband Jack Dillon and moving to Corunna, MI.
When not overseeing Munchkin Enterprises, Carolyn enjoyed cross-stitching, ceramic, assisting with her church group, scrapbooking, sitting on the beach in Oscoda and watching old western movies and television shows. Most of all doting over her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jack, children Susan Frawley (Gerald), Sandra Rhyne (Michael), John Dillon, and Laura Durish (Robert). She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas (Elizabeth), Benjamin (Samantha), Rachel (Ryan), Michelle (Alex), Emily (Brent), Nathan (Emily), and Ethan (Amy), Phillip (Abby), Kristian (Jacob), and Josie (Dylan). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren with one on the way, who she dubbed the mini-munchkins.
She is predeceased by her parents DD and Minnie Ruth Carter, and her sister Shirley
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 11 am at Faith Church of Gaines, 303 Walnut Street, Gaines, Michigan 48436, with Pastor Tom Hoose presiding.
