Colette Geraldine Canning (Keller) Born May 30, 1935 in Akron, Ohio passed away April 27, 2021. Colette was a friend to anyone she ever met. She was never one for being in the limelight but rather the one giving her light to encourage others. She was adventurous, interesting, smart, organized, played the piano, loved to sing and was an avid cross stitcher. She was kind, selfless and lived to serve the Lord. She was dedicated to her outreach work with her church and participated in numerous studies for the Harvard Review. She was a lover of books and had the most vast vocabulary! She especially loved a good creepy tale. Known to get the giggles at inappropriate moments and a joy to be around. She graduated with her BS in Nursing from St. Johns College. She found the love of her life while at a college mixer and married in August 1958. She was the Assistant Director of Nursing at McLaren for many years. She is survived by her husband Patrick, 6 children that were ALL her favorite each in their own way. Daughter Anne (Greg) Cole, Son Patrick (Rodica), Chris (Kathy), Glenn (Lisa) George (Ria) and Daughter Catherine (Troy) Pace. She had a special place in her heart for her sons wives (bonus daughters). Grandchildren, Mary, Grace, Rosie, Jack, Stephen, Annemarie, George Jr, Christopher, Patrick, Domonique, Braden, Breanne, Kingsley and Dash. Six great grandchildren, many special friends and a special shoutout to her dog, Sammy that never left her side. She was adored and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her brother George.
