BOEGNER, Norman – of Flint, age 84, passed away on June 28, 2022. at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, July 8, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Davison, MI 48423; Bob Beckelic officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM until the time of service on Friday, July 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children, in Norman’s memory.
Norman was born in Flint, Michigan on May 26, 1938, son of the late Carl and Gertrude Boegner. He married Clara Best on December 24,1988 in Flint and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2018. Norman was Past President and member of the East Flint Lions Club. He loved golfing, camping in Oscoda, MI and was happiest being with friends and family. He was a member of UAW Local 651, retired from AC Spark Plug, Delphi East.
Norman is survived by children, Bonnie (Allan) Draper, Danny Goode, Debbie (David) Apfel, Norman W. (Paula) Boegner, Terrie (Rickey) Richardson, Julie Jacot, Peggy (Carl) Sheffer, Sandy (Dave) Jacot-Wood, Shelly (Rob) Owen; grandchildren, Alex Apfel, Jamie Apfel, Michaela Draper, Katrina (Brian) Hines, Desiree (Josh) Richardson, Whitney (Frank) Hartman, Chelsea Jacot, Andrew (Jenn) Sheffer, Kyle Sheffer, Hayley Owen, Alison Owen, Wyatt Owen; great-grandchildren, Callie Richardson-Fuller, Kaila Abbott, Kolton Abbott, Kyler Abbott, Brooklyn Sheffer, Eli Jacot, Jonathan Hartman, Natalie Hartman; siblings, Elsie Watts, Evelyn Kelley, Janet (Benny) Adams, Eugene (Vivian) Boegner, many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by wife, Clara; parents, Carl and Gertrude; siblings, Alberta, Ernest (Dorothy), Wayne (Deanna), Joseph (Barb); and daughter-in-law, Susan Smith.
