BAIRD, Berta - age 62 of Fenton, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be held 11 AM until the time of service. Berta was born April 19, 1959 to the late Juan and Eloisa (Salazar) Garcia in Alice, Texas. She is survived by her daughters Machell Morrison and Rabecka Cordell, her son Julian Dingman, her granddaughter Crystal Schupbach and the Schupbach family, her brothers & sisters: Domingo Garcia, Jessie (Christine) Garcia, Lucia Yarbrough, Cipriano Garcia, Juanita Garcia, Gracie (Ron) Blair, and Abby Marshall. She was loved and cherished by many other surviving family members such as Maryrose Garcia-Kliewer, Raymond Garcia, and many special friends in the Fenton area. She was preceded in death by brothers & sisters Ruben Garcia, Ricky Garcia, Tony Garcia, Juan Garcia Jr., Francisco Garcia, and Gloria McGarvie. Berta graduated from Hamady High School and then from a typing/secretarial program at Michigan State University. Berta loved making new friends with anyone she met, attending church, cheering on Michigan State football, and listening to country music.
