MURDOCK, Lawrence Claud – of Flushing, age 65, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Tim Taipalus officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home in Montrose. Memorial contributions can be made to his grandchildren’s college fund in lieu of flowers.
Lawrence was born March 15, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Lawrence and Betty (Meehleader) Murdock. He grew up in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1974. Lawrence married Jeanine Cartier on February 7, 1986 in Flushing, Michigan and she preceded him in death in 2019. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Lawrence worked for GM as a ForkLift Driver with 30 years of service. He enjoyed golfing in the Briar Ridge golf league, playing poker and building “Lucky Town” for his grandchildren located in his yard. Lawrence liked woodworking, playing softball and collecting eagles. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and fur baby Kayla.
Surviving are: Daughter, Barbara (Corey) Miller; Grandchildren, Wren Miller, Logan Miller, Declan Miler; Father, Lawrence Murdock; Siblings, Vicky (Mike) Stoica, Pamela (Mark) Wilson, Craig (Phyllis) Murdock; several nephews; Cousins whom were like sisters Debbie Monroe, Cindy Rush.
