Janice M. Beckham
Age 77, of Omer, MI, formerly of West Branch, MI, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1947 in Flint, MI to the late Merl and Elaine (Leighton) Slawson. Janice graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1965. Janice worked as a retail manager for Alcove and Albert’s for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, interior decorating, and going for walks. Janice was a proud member of the Garden Club in West Branch, MI. She married her high school sweetheart, H J "Butch" Beckham, on August 7, 1965, enjoying one another's love, friendship, and respect, for the next 60 years. Janice is survived by her loving husband, H J, brothers, Larry (Stephanie) Slawson, and Gary (Kathy) Slawson, 11 nieces and nephews, and special friends, Joe and Nancy Kozumplik, Jerry and Ruth Unkel, and Mike and Betty Platte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one nephew. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Twining Baptist Church in Twining, MI, with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, until the time of service at 12:00 PM.
