WEATHERLY, Philip H. – age 83, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Judson Baptist Church, in Philip’s memory.
Philip was born in Clarendon, AR on September 11, 1939, son of the late Brooks and Alma (Holland) Weatherly. After graduation from Clarendon High School, Philip proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea, where he served as a paratrooper. During a paratroop expedition, he became entangled with another paratrooper, but both made it down safely. Philip retired from GM Buick City after many years. During his time at Buick City, he picked up the art of playing table tennis. He enjoyed traveling to many table tennis tournaments around the Tri-state area with his table tennis partner, Manny.
Philip is survived by his nephew, Lawrence Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; and his four siblings.
